Roopesh Nambiar (Dileep) is a leading television journalist, who works at the channel 'Naalaamidam', and is enamoured by a new trainee with a fancy name - Kabani (Nikhila Vimal). When he realizes that Kabani has none of the Wayanad roots that he had expected her to have, he is surprised, but she shocks him further with a horrendous Trivandrum slang. Nonetheless, love strikes between the two.
In a parallel track, Sarayu (Suhasini), a dear friend of Roopesh's mom, who is haunted by the loneliness all around meets her former class mate and lover Satheesh (Sasi Kumar) after eons. The duo recognizes that it's never too old to get going again. Burying their bygone lives under the carpet, Sarayu and Satheesh decide once and for all, that they should perhaps start living for themselves.

The movie has Fahadh Faasil as Hari, a genius worker in his IT company, who is revered for his brilliant outputs, but a grave OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) for which he is undergoing treatment forces him to look at every simple events in his life with undue seriousness. On a faithful 'harthal' day, Hari is forced to take a ride to the capital city to attend a conference where a software that he has developed is the point of discussion. On the train, he meets Gopalan master, who is mentally down hearing the news about his wife who is critically ill. A social work graduate Narayani (Swathi), who is travelling in the same train decides to change her travel plans and to take the octogenarian back to his home at Kozhikode. Hari who doesn't have a feel to support this oldman is drawn into the scheme of things due to his subdued nature of handling emotional things. How this journey which takes multitude of options from ambulances to row boats changes his life forever forms the rest of the movie.

Sreenivasan plays Venu in the film, a middle aged expatriate who has taken up a job as a security man at a residential flat. His family that comprises of his wife (Sangeetha) and daughter has very moderate dreams in mind.
Venu decides to sell off the five cents of land that he had bought a couple of decades ago in the city, to procure a management seat in a private medical college for his daughter. He is aghast to find that the long ignored piece of land has been transformed into a garbage dumping ground by the local residents and with the aid of Davis (Innocent) sets about to get the land cleared of the waste.

Kunjiraman (Vineeth Sreenivasan), nephew of Well-done Vasu (Mamukkoya), plans to marry Vasu's daughter Thankamani. All plans are thwarted by Kunjiraman's dim-witted cousin brother Laalu (Dhyan Sreenivasan). To avenge this he goes to Gulf to make money and returns to his hometown Desam. He plans to marry well and before the wedding of Vasu's daughter. Laalu (Dhyan Sreenivasan) secretly plots against Kunjiraman with Kuttan (Aju Varghese), his role model. Kunjiraman gets engaged to other women but all end up in cancellations. Villagers superstitiously believe that it was Kunjiraman's actions that brings the subsequent problems and curses to Desam.

Ranjan Mathew (Prithviraj) is the founder of a high profile company which does the tough task of disposing of radioactive waste. They opt for an old bungalow which Priya decides to decorate with antiques, one of which happens to be an old trunk with Jewish inscriptions. The couple soon come across supernatural instances in the house. Ranjan seeks the help of a Jewish Rabbi. The trunk is found to contain a dybbuk, a spirit seeking revenge, and chaos follows.

Captain force-admits Das in Punjab University for his higher studies but there, the young lad falls for none other than a firebrand wrestler, Aditi Singh. The duo comes to Kerala for a handful of reasons and there on, kusthi takes over.
